14 Essential Items To Prepare For Your New Puppy

We find a corral works well for training. They can be set up with a comfortable bed, food,

water dishes and a pee pad. Check on Amazon for a Pet Playpen/Exercise Pen with Door.

Pee Pads! they can be purchased at Dollarama or Costco. They are great for indoor training.

These are THE BEST BRANDS for pee pads. Others just fall apart. Get XL size. This size allows corral to sit on top of it.

3.

Chew toys with the name “Nylabone” or "Kong". Both Brands are considered very reliable.

4.

You can purchase a clicker at any of the pet stores. This aids in training if you wish.

5.

Treats - Liver Bites from Costco or Benny Bully's liver treats from Pet Stores (Costco offers the best deal for liver treats)

6.

Don’t buy a collar or harness until you pick up your pup! they can be difficult to fit.

You will also need a leash to match. A harness is our preferred product for training puppies since puppies like to pull a lot and a harness prevents them from pulling on their necks.

A small pullover or coat would be good for being outside in cooler weather.

8.

A nail clipper. Just clip 1/16 off the nail every second Friday if you wish to do it yourself. be careful to avoid clipping the veins.

9.

Grooming should be done every 6-8 weeks or longer pending on time and looks. You make the final choice on when to groom.

10.

A feed bowl. Stainless Steel and equal size water dish fits into a frame for stability.

11.

Some toys and a small pull rope might be helpful. NO RAWHIDE.
